In Asia cooking is a real art. The age-old knowledge of this refined cooking is still passed down

from generation to generation. Vanka-Kawat wants to share this cooking art and therefore we have

been importing and producing authentic Asian products for more than 50 years. Our products make

preparing exotic meals surprisingly simple. If you still have questions or suggestions, of course

We import much of our products directly from the Asian countries of origin. Please join us dreaming

of countries like Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, China, Hong Kong, Philippines, Malaysia and

Singapore.

Another part of our products we produce in our Dutch factory, based on original authentic recipes.

Quality is also high on our list and therefore our factory is certified for the quality food labels

BRC Food Grade A and IFS Higher Level. Furthermore, our company works according to the quality

standards of HACCP and our advanced computer system has issues like EDI and quality integrated.

Where does the company name Vanka-Kawat stand for?

Our company was founded in 1958 by Mr. G.L. van Kasteren. The company name is a abbreviation

of his name Vanka and the name of the factory in Indonesia he used to own, Kawat.

Even today, at age 89, Mr. Van Kasteren is still involved with heart and soul in our modern business.
